Technical Manager   

Live Theatre is an established new writing theatre based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

We are looking for a Technical Manager with the experience to manage all aspects of our technical requirements including light, sound and AV.

We are looking for a proactive individual who is happy to take on a variety of responsibilities within our technical department with an eye for detail. This includes being responsible for all technical equipment in the building and making sure health and safety procedures are adhered to, ensuring shifts are adequately staffed and managing full-time / casual staff. 

We are looking for someone with strong multitasking abilities, adept at handling pressure, and demonstrating efficiency in day-to-day tasks. The ideal candidate should excel in prioritising workloads, exhibit meticulous planning skills, and possess effective communication for interacting with a wide variety of people, whether in person or through email. You will have at least 5 years’ experience of working within a technical department, with a knowledge of sound, lighting and AV.

Salary: £30K
This is a full time (40hrs per week), permanent role including evening and weekends.
